As we always say, a kitchen is more than just where you cook. Florence and Mark’s brief to us was to help them create a family living space at the heart of their farmhouse. they wanted a traditional style but with a modern twist so, we agreed on an in-frame painted tulip shaker style cabinet with a striking large central island in a bold blue to modernise the look. This was all topped with Carrera marble worktops.
Florence and Mark’s personality was brought in with characterful additions like the wallpaper behind the aga and the ‘pot filler’ tap. These are the bits that make a kitchen unique to you. The detail was important too. We dovetailed each draw, fitted Perrin and Rowe taps and sink furniture and light fittings from Forbes and Lomax.
The final features of this beautiful kitchen were done for us – the light flooding in from the ceiling lantern and the stunning view across the Norfolk countryside.
We were over the moon with how this project turned out. We managed not to slip over on the shiniest parquet floor in the east of England - even when the couple’s daughter made us jump by hiding in the cupboards!
